A Dance Festival was organized today at Gopal Maidaan, Bistupur. The event was a part of Jamshedpur Festival organised by Tata Steel. Mr Anand Sen, President, TQM & Steel Business, Tata Steel graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. A total of 15 teams participated in the event, 5 from Jamshedpur schools, 5  from Jamshedpur Academies and 5 from Tata Steel out locations

Speaking on the occasion Mr Sen said ‘This is a glamorous event. I am looking forward to a great Jamshedpur Festival.Lets all join hands to make the city happy through this event. The next one month will have various events which will engage you in a positive manner and give us all a feel good of this festive season’.

The event started with a contemporary dance performance by double shake dance group from Delhi followed by Inter School Dance Competitions and Dance Academies Competitions. There was another performance by double shake dance group towards the end of the event.

The food stalls featuring multiple cuisine were also very popular amongst the visitors. It was delightful to see whole families enjoying meals together

Earlier in the day Jamshedpur Carnival Parade was organised which kick started from Jamsetji Statue at Jubilee Park and finished at Gopal Maidan. This colourful parade had flavours of Latin Band playing live; contingents depicting various states and their culture, vintage cars; horses; armored vehicle, dancers etc.

08.30 pm to 9.00 pm : Special Performance by Sr. Executives of Tata Steel & Members of District Administration
09.00 pm to 9.20 pm : Prize Distribution by MD
09.20 pm to 10.00 pm : Special Performances by TMH Doctors.

19th December 2016 (Monday)
6:00 pm to 10:00 pm : Colours of India (Hindustan ke Rang, Festivals of India, Salaam India, Bollywood Hungama and Fashion Show)

20th December 2016 (Tuesday)
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm : Performances by Indi Pop rock bands half en hour each  {Urban Sages ( Local Ranchi), Bodhi Tree (XLRI), Vishveshwara (NIIT), Blacksmith ( Jam hub, GTs)}
 8.00pm to 10.00 pm: Guest Band  Under Ground Authority Kolkata.
