About us

The Centre for Excellence (CFE), established in 1992 in Jamshedpur, stands as a tribute to our visionary leader, JN Tata. This architectural marvel, designed with distinctive pyramids and pillars, is India's First Business Archive.

The Galleries and Archives at the Centre for Excellence reflect the company's values and commitments, from the founder's vision to artistic endeavours and historical documentation of Tata Steel. The Founder's Gallery, through photographs and narratives, traces the evolution of the House of Tata, JN Tata's efforts in making India an industrial nation, and unparalleled people-centric initiatives. The Art Gallery features works by prominent artists, including MF Hussain. The Archives house an extensive collection of documents, photographs, founder's letters, prospecting licenses, and maps displayed in the gallery. Additionally, a dedicated gallery honours JRD Tata, focusing on his life and contributions through photographs and narratives.

With the unique addition of a Virtual Reality (VR) experience, you can now visit the Centre for Excellence from anywhere in the world.
