As the demand for industry-ready technicians keeps soaring, Tata Steel Technical Institute (TSTI), Jamshedpur has been providing technical training to youngsters in an effort to identify and nurture their technical talent and to ready them for livelihood opportunities.

Candidates from Deojhar, Anseikela, and Birkela panchayats are undergoing training at the institute that is functioning under the aegis of Tata Steel Foundation. These students are part of the three-year full-time diploma programme in Mechatronics and Electrical and Electronics.

Tata Steel Technical Institute (TSTI), Jamshedpur established in the year 2014, was setup with a vision to improve the quality of technical education and to cater the requirements of the industries in the country.

TSTI with Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF), Bangalore as its training partner, plays an active role to meet the latent demand for skilled workforce in industries by upgrading the trainee’s technical skill and competency through holistic approach and thus enhance the employability of the rural and urban youths. It has well-equipped laboratories, workshops, classrooms and professionally experienced faculties. The institute has had a 100% placement record since its inception in 2014.

Mr BK Singh, Principal of the institute, says, “We have also provided tablets or laptops to all our students to ensure e-learning as well. We regularly send study material and also conduct online tests”.
