Tata Steel Jamshedpur wins Best Secure Company Award at Fire Security Expo 2018

Tata Steel Jamshedpur bags the “Best Secure Company” award during Finest India Skills & Talent (FIST) 2018 awards for its extraordinary contribution to provide exemplary physical security standards to employees and assets. FIST 2018 awards were presented on February 22, 2018 during the Fire Security India Expo 2018 at Taj Vivanta Bengaluru. Tata Steel Jamshedpur is chosen from over 500 applications for FIST award 2018 in different categories.

FIST Awards are annual awards initiated by Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI), a non-profit organization established in 2002 representing the Fire Protection, Life Safety, Security, Building Automation, Loss Prevention and Risk Management domains. The awards recognize extraordinary contribution of an organization or individual in the field of security, safety, firefighting and emergency response. Critical data submitted on incidents of security breach, thefts and losses, new technology usage, new practices and trainings imparted, integration of electronics and guards to create a system is assessed for the awards.

The FIST awards are finalized by the steering committee which consists of 15 members including eminent experts from the field of Security, Fire and Emergency Response. The steering committee is chaired by Mr Vikram Singh, IPS Former Director General of Police UP (Retd.) and Mr D K Shami, Fire Advisor Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India is the Vice Chairman alongside prominent members like Mr Ashok Menon, Director Fire Services Goa and Mr. Prabhat Rahangdale Director Maharashtra Fire Services.
