Tata Steel invites application for Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2018

Tata Steel has invited applications for recruitment of Trade Apprentices (under the Apprentices Act, 1961)-2018 batch for vacancies at its manufacturing plants at Jamshedpur and Kalinganagar locations. The applications for this year have been invited from candidates of four states, namely, West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand.

The applicant should be a matriculate or equivalent having passed in all subjects with minimum aggregate marks of 75% (60% for SC/ST candidates). English, Science and Mathematics as subjects in matriculation are a must. General candidates born between January 1,1999 and January 1,2003 (including these two dates) and Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates born between January 1,1998 and January 1, 2003 (including these two dates) can apply for Trade Apprentice.

The selected candidates are eligible for a stipend during the training period. On successful completion of training and being awarded the National Trade Certificate on clearing the All India Trade Test (AITT), if appointed, the candidate can be placed at any location of Tata Steel.

The online application can be accessed by going to Direct Job Application on Careers section of Tata Steel corporate website http://www.tatasteel.com/careers/.  

The last date of submission of online application is August 5, 2018. An online payment of (i.e.  NEFT/RTGS) only as quoted in the advertisement (Rs. 300/-) is needed to be eligible for taking the assessment. Window for Online Written Test is open from August 25-31, 2018 followed by personal interview and medical examination.
