Production & Sales Figures for December, 2009
Tata Steel surpassed the mark of 6, 00,000 t monthly Crude Steel production for the first time in December 2009.The plant is now operating at the rate of 7.2 mtpa against the rated capacity of 6.8 mtpa. It completed December by registering remarkable increase in its hot metal, crude steel and saleable steel production over the corresponding month of last year.

- Best ever crude steel production of 6, 00,204 t, which is at the rate of 7.2 mtpa against the rated capacity of 6.8 mtpa.
- Best ever saleable steel production of 5, 92,487 t.
- LD#1 (one of the Steel Melting Shop) recorded its best ever production of 2, 72, 391 t.
- Hot Strip Mill recorded its best ever production of 3, 38, 570 t.
- 90% increase in Flat products sales over December’08.
- 56% increase in Long products sales over December’08.
