Tata Steel Cadets bring laurels in Athletics and Swimming

Jamshedpur, June 18, 2019

Athletes from Tata Steel Training Centre and Tata Steel SAI Extension Centre participated in the Senior State Athletics Championship 2019, held at Hazaribagh from June 15 to 16.

Binati Behera from Tata Steel Training Centre won Silver medals in 100m and 200 m events, while D Amrita Rao of Tata Steel SAI Extension Centre won Gold in the High Jump event. Coach of the Athletics team was Mr. Sanjeev Kumar.

Besides, swimmers’ from Swimming Training Centre participated in 11th Jharkhand State Sub Junior & Junior Swimming Championship held at Ranchi from 15th to 16th June. They won 68 Gold, 39 Silver and 10 Bronze Medals during the event Coach of the event was Mr P N Rai.

Officials of the Tata Steel Sports Department have congratulated the teams for bringing laurels for the respective centres.
