Tata Steel receives 'The Best Companies to Work for Award' by Business Today

~ Chief Minister of Maharashtra Sri Devendra Fadnavis presented the coveted award to Tata Steel ~

Tata Steel has been bestowed with the ‘Best Companies to Work for Award’ at the Business Today Awards, wherein it has emerged as the winner in the core sector and one of the Top 25 best companies to work for in India. The chief minister of Maharashtra, Sri Devendra Fadnavis presented the award to Mr. Suresh Dutt Tripathi, Vice President, Human Resource Management, Tata Steel, thus recognizing the steel conglomerate’s strong and sound HR policies and practices.

The winners are determined through an in-depth qualitative survey that involves key parameters like career growth prospects, financial compensation, work-life balance, performance evaluation, stability and other HR practices of the company. Tata Steel has been presented with this prestigious award basis these parameters.

On receiving the award, Mr. Suresh Dutt Tripathi, Vice President, Human Resource Management, Tata Steel, said, “It is an honour to receive this award, which is recognized under such significant parameters. We have always believed that our employees are our key assets and value creation for the company depends principally on their professional and personal well-being. It is our policies that have helped enhancing the personal growth of every individual related to our Tata Steel family. This recognition will further invigorate us to continue with, and improve upon, the various practices that we have undertaken and follow our ethos strongly.”

The Business Today award for ‘The Best Companies to Work for in India’ is the thirteenth edition of the publication wherein they have awarded organizations with the best HR practices. These awards are conducted in partnership with PeopleStrong and Naukri.com. It is an open, web-based, perception survey in which all the salaried employees in India can participate. For the overall rankings, the survey respondents have to rank top five companies across industries as well as within their sectors in terms of companies they think are the best to work in. This process is followed by ranking the top three companies on the key parameters.

Tata Steel has recently been recognized with other accolades in both the sustainability and performance space. A few prestigious awards include CII ITC Sustainability Award 2015, CII Industrial Innovation Award 2015 and TIME India Awards 2016.
