Tata Steel Adventure Foundation Climber creates National Records in Speed Climbing

Anisha Verma creates history at the 24th National Sport Climbing Championship at Bangalore from January 27 – 30, 2019. -

Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) Climber Anisha Verma clocked 12.27 seconds at the 24th National Sport Climbing Championship at Bangalore, to create a national record in the women’s category for speed climbing. Anisha bagged Gold in lead climbing and speed climbing and silver in bouldering category. Overall two gold and 1 silver medal were bagged by her. The Championship was held from January 27 – 30, 2019.

Aman Verma got silver medal in lead climbing in Jr Boys category.

This is best ever performance of TSAF climbers in the Junior Category. This is also the best performance from the State of Jharkhand and the East zone.

Armita Dey, Vidula Prakash, Harpreet Yadav, Suraj Singh,  Kiran Singh, Khushboo Kumari also gave satisfactory performances.

The Climbers were trained by coach Bibhas Roy and instructor Babulal Rawat.

TSAF congratulates the Climbers and the participants on their outstanding performances.
