Horticulture Society of Jamshedpur to host the 5th Bonsai Festival

The Horticulture Society of Jamshedpur is organizing the 5th Bonsai Fest on September 21, 2019 (Saturday), at the Tube Makers Club. The Workshop will be conducted by a professional expert from Ranchi which will include a hands-on session for the participants.

There will be two sessions - the morning session is for individual hobbyists and the afternoon session will cater to the nominated persons from Corporates, Institutes and Life Time members of the Society. 

The Society is organizing an exhibition and sale of indoor plants, Bonsai, and tools & tackles that are required for gardening. The Agrico Division will also display and arrange for sale of their exclusive garden related tools. The exhibition will be open to all citizens of Jamshedpur. 

This is the second time that an event of the Horticulture Society Jamshedpur is being organized in the eastern part of Jamshedpur which will enable greater connect with people living in that part of the town.  This will bring awareness on the correct way of nurturing Bonsai and indoor decoration plants. It is expected that more than hundred participants will be present at the workshop.

The Chief Guest at the Inaugural Function will be Mr Chanakya Chaudhary, VP. Corporate Services, Tata Steel while the Chief Guest for the Closing Ceremony will be Mr. Ujjal Chakraborti, EIC Tubes, Tata Steel.

Details of the Programme on September 21st are as follows:  

1st Session (Individuals, Trainees, Corporate nominees)

Registration : 9:30 AM to 9:45AM
Inaugural Function  : 9:45 AM to 10:00AM
1st Session (Basic Bonsai Workshop) : 10:00 AM to1:00PM
Concluding Remarks : 1:00 PM to 1:15PM

2nd Session (Institutions & Members)

Registration : 2:00 PM to 2:15PM
Basic Bonsai Training : 2:15 PM to 5:15 PM
Concluding Session : 5:15 PM to 5:30PM
