Blanket distribution to Birhores by Tata Steel's West Bokaro Division

West Bokaro, January 12, 2019

Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS), the CSR wing of Tata Steel distributed blankets to the Birhore community at its office near Sports Complex, West Bokaro on Saturday.

Ms Ranjana Singh graced the occasion as chief guest along with Ms Rozy Sudhir, Ms Prity Jha, Ms Prity Singh Nirwan, Ms Asha Prasad and Ms Anju Singh.

Under the initiative, blankets and sweets were distributed by the dignitaries to more than 50 people from the Birhore community of Durukasmar village under Mandu block of Ramgarh district.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Ranjana Singh said: “Tata Steel has always been taking initiatives for the upliftment of the Birhore community of the region. As a responsible corporate citizen, the company is taking various steps in the field of education, sports and environment protection for the holistic development of the community.”

Among others present on the occasion were Mr Sanjay Kumar Singh, General Manager (Coal), Tata Steel, Mr B V Sudhir Kumar, Chief, Coal Beneficiation, Tata Steel (West Bokaro), Mr Bhawani Singh Nirwan, Head, Stakeholder Management, Tata Steel (West Bokaro), Mr Mahattam Prasad, Head, Engineering Services, Tata Steel (West Bokaro), Mr Kumar Vikram, Head, Administration, Tata Steel (West Bokaro) and Mr Keshav Kumar Ranjan, Unit Head, TSRDS along with other officials of Tata Steel and TSRDS.
