Two drinking water projects inaugurated by Tata Steel's West Bokaro Division

With the aim to provide drinking water facility to the people of Sondiha and Sirka villages, West Bokaro Division of Tata Steel has implemented two drinking water supply projects with overhead tanks in both villages under Mandu block of Ramgarh district of Jharkhand. These projects were inaugurated by Mr Sanjay Kumar Singh, General Manager (West Bokaro), Tata Steel in the presence of Mr Mohan Mohato, President, Rashtriye Colliery Mazdoor Sangh and Mr B V Sudhir Kumar, Chief, Coal Beneficiation, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel on May 4, 2017

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Singh said: "We are committed to provide safe drinking water in villages for healthy life of rural population. I am sure that these drinking water projects will fulfil the requirement of potable water this summer in the two villages.”

These drinking water projects comprises of four water tanks and overhead towers of 20 thousand litres with four Sintex tank of 500 litres each with deep bore well in both villages. This will cater to the drinking water requirement of over 700 people in 140 households in the two villages.

Present during the inauguration were Mr Sunder Lal Bhuiya, Mukhiya, Sarubera, Ms Sushila Devi, Panchayat Samiti member, Ms Devanti Devi, Ward Commissioner, Mr Radhe Shyam Mahato, Mukhiya, Sondiha, Mr Mohammad Shafiq Khan, Upp Mukhiya, Sonadiha, Mr Keshav Kumar Ranjan, Unit Head, Tata Steel Rural Development Society, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel and senior officers of Tata Steel.
