Tata Football Academy has embarked upon a programme to work with U-10 boys to train them in various nuances of football under TFA’s coaches on regular basis. This age is considered as the Golden Age of Learning.

Each team will play matches on league basis within the group. Two teams from each group will qualify to play in the quarter final in knock out stage.

The quarter finals, semi finals and finals are slated for May 2, 3, & 4 respectively. The closing ceremony will take place on May 4, 2011, after the finals at around 8:45 a.m.

The programme seeks to promote the game of soccer among the young children providing the talented ones an opportunity to seek a career in soccer in future as a professional.

The Tata Football Academy has been training aspiring young footballers through a four years rigorous residential training programme since more than 20 years. The academy has been training the boys between the age group of 15 – 20 years which research has shown is not an appropriate age to start to reach the elite level of excellence.

It is TFA’s endeavour to provide regular training 3-days a week to the first two teams of the tournament for the whole year. The training will be provided under the guidance of TFA’s coaches. In addition the TFA coaches will also be on the look out for exceptional talent to enroll them in the programme along with the above team.
