Tata Steel bags a double victory at the Tata Crucible Quiz 2010, Jamshedpur round
In a thumping victory, Tata Steel bagged both the first and the second positions at India’s biggest corporate business quiz – the Tata Crucible Quiz-2010, Jamshedpur round at Tata Auditorium today.
Claiming the first position were Shankha Mishra and G E Khan with a remarkable 70 points. Following close at the heels as well as bagging the second position were Mohit and Nirmal with 50 points. Both teams are from Tata Steel. The team from Telcon was declared second runners-up.
Six teams qualified for the finals from more than 90 teams, after clearing the preliminary 20-question round. The six teams comprised three from Tata Motors, two from Tata Steel and one from Telcon.
Present as chief guest was Mr Anand Sen, Vice President (Total Quality Management & Shared Services), Tata Steel. He applauded the winners and participants saying Tata Crucible provided a great platform for all to think out of the box and put their creative minds to a challenging test.
It is remarkable to note that more than 90 teams from various Tata Group companies registered for the Jamshedpur round. The quiz was conducted by Mr Giri Balasubramanium, aka ‘Pickbrain’ of Greycaps India Pvt Ltd.
