CEO, RAWMET honoured with "Indian Achiever's Award - 2008"
Rawmet, a Tata Steel subsidiary, basks in national limelight
Mr Prashant Mallick, Chief Executive Officer, Rawmet Ferrous Industries, has been honoured with the prestigious "Indian Achiever's Award- 2008 for Industry Development" recently, at Delhi. The award was conferred by Indian Organisation for Commerce and Industry. It was presented to him by Dr GVG Krishnamurthy, former Election Commissioner, in presence of Major Ved Prakash, General Secretary, All India Congress Committee and Dr Bhai Veer Mahavir, former Governor of Madhya Pradesh.
Mr Mallick was recognised for his contributions in industrial development which includes achieving 170% of the rated capacity of Ferro Alloys Plant (FAP) of Tata Steel at Joda as well as implementing innovative technologies, developed in-house, at Rawmet. Mr Mallick has served Tata Steel for the last 21 years in its various spheres of operations.

Rawmet Ferrous Industries was a newly built Ferro Chrome company with indigenous technology before it was acquired by Tata Steel in 2007. It is today a 100% subsidiary of Tata Steel Limited. With a capacity of 55,000 tonne per annum, this plant was made operational will the state-of-the-art technology and expertise in the year that it was acquired by Tata Steel.
