Tata Steel West Bokaro Division Honoured By National Energy Conservation Award
West Bokaro Division of Tata Steel has been honoured with the “COMMENDATION CERTIFICATE” OF NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION AWARD in appreciation of their efforts in Energy Conservation in the mining sector for the year 2006 by Ministry of Power, Govt. of India.
This appreciation was presented by Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde Hon’ble Union Minister for Power, Govt. of India at Ashoka Hotel, New Delhi on 14th December, 2006 in a glittering function and received by Mr. Awadhesh Kumar Ojha, General Manager, West Bokaro, Tata Steel along with Mr. Chanakya Choudhry, CRE, Delhi and Mr. Dharmendra Dubey Sr. Manager, Safety, West Bokaro. CEO’s from various organizations of private and public sectors graced the function.
West Bokaro Division have fully mechanized Eco-Friendly open cast mines to producing 4.8 MT Raw Coal Per year. The Division is also certified in Environment Management System ISO-14001 (first in coal industries), Indira Priyadarshini Vriksha Mitra Award, OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) 18001 any many other awards in different areas like SAFETY, QUALITY, CUSTOMER ORIENTATION etc.
