Tata Steels commitment to improving the quality of life recently led the
company to take up the widening and renovation of the Birsa Nagar Bridge, which links two
highly populated settlements on the outskirts of the steel city.
This bridge which, connects Birsanagar and Baridih, is akin
to a lifeline between the two areas. However, it had only two lanes and was in urgent need
of repair. The ground breaking ceremony for the work was jointly performed by the Building
Construction Minister of Jharkhand, Mr Raghuvar Das and the Managing Director of the
company, Mr B Muthuraman on February 4.
Tata Steel has never overlooked the needs of the citizens
and this bridge will solve a lot of problems for the people of the areas, Mr Das
confirmed at the ceremony. On behalf of the company, Mr Muthuraman shared its
determination to provide civic amenities to the residents of Jamshedpur and said that the
bridge will be constructed in the shortest possible time. |
