Tata Steel has won the Golden Peacock 2002 Award for Corporate Social Responsibility & Excellence in Corporate Governance in the category of Private Sector/Large. Constituted by the Institute of Directors, New Delhi, this award has been announced on 27th September 2002 at the inaugural session of 3rd International Conference on Corporate Governance held at New Delhi. Tata Steel has been selected for the award by a distinguished panel of judges headed by Justice A M Ahmadi, former Chief Justice, Supreme Court of India.
