Welfare activities
The company has a very strong and active welfare department.
Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS), which
runs welfare programs like building and running schools,
boring tube wells, organizing health camps, creating
scope for self-employment for villagers etc. in and
around the places where the plants and mines are located.
The company also sponsors Life-Line Express that provides
mobile health services to people in the rural areas.
