Mr. H. M. Nerurkar
Managing Director
Hemant M. Nerurkar has been Executive Director of India and South East Asia of Tata Steel Limited since April 9, 2009 and Managing Director since October 01, 2009.
A B.Tech in metallurgical engineering from the College of Engineering, Pune University, Mr. Nerurkar has attended several management courses in India and overseas, including CEDEP in France. He is associated with several professional organisations, such as Indian Institute of Metals, INSDAG and AIMA Governing Council among others.
Mr. Nerurkar joined Tata Steel on February 1, 1982 and has held various positions including Chief Metallurgist, Senior Deputy Manager (LD-2 Projects), deputy general manager (Steel & Primary Mills), General Manager (Marketing), Senior General Manager (Supply Chain) and Chief Operating Officer (Steel). He has over 35 years of experience in steel industry in various functions. Mr. Nerurkar is an executive with multifaceted experience ranging from project execution, manufacturing, Quality Control, Supply Chain and Marketing. He became the Vice President (Flat Products) in November 2002 and in September 2007 was appointed Chief Operating Officer (Steel).
Mr. Nerurkar is a unique motivational leader with capabilities beyond compare. He instills confidence in his subordinates and mentors them to reach excellence. He has a natural flair for nurturing and cultivating innovation and out of box thinking. He has keen business acumen in identifying new business opportunities for accelerated growth. Mr. A. Anjeneyan
Company Secretary
A. Anjeneyan joined Tata Steel as Joint Company Secretary & Chief of Compliance on July 27, 2009.
Born in Thrissur, Kerala, he graduated in Commerce from University of Bombay. He then undertook a two-year training course in Banking from the Indian Institute of Bankers and a four-year training course from The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He brings on board a rich experience of 25 years. Prior to joining his present assignment, he worked with ACC as Company Secretary.
Mr. Sandip Biswas
Group Director (Corporate Finance and M&A)
Mr. Sandip Biswas is currently the Group Director - (Corporate Finance and M & A) for Tata Steel Limited. In his role, he oversees the Tata Steel Group's financing strategies, capital structure, mergers and acquisitions, planning and execution of capital raising activities for both debt and equity, liquidity management, foreign exchange risk management, investor relations activities and corporate legal among others.
He is currently also serving as a Director in the Board of various Tata Steel subsidiaries and joint ventures both in India and abroad namely Kalimati Investment Company Limited, Rujuvalika Investments Limited, Tata Steel Holdings Pte. Mr. Koushik Chatterjee
Group CFO
Mr. Chatterjee is an Honours Graduate in Commerce from Calcutta University and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Mr. Koushik Chatterjee joined Tata Steel in 1995. During his stint in the Company, he worked in the areas of Corporate Finance and Planning. During the years 1996-1998, he was also a visiting faculty at XLRI, Jamshedpur in Corporate Finance. In 1998 he was transferred to the Tata Steel Head Office in Mumbai and subsequently to Tata Sons Limited in the Group Executive Office (GEO). He became General Manager - Corporate Finance in Tata Sons in 2002. During his tenure in Tata Sons Limited, he was involved in Mergers & Acquisitions' activities including privatisations and joint ventures. He was also the lead facilitator in the Groupwide roll out of Economic Value Added (EVA) for the major Tata companies.
Mr. Chatterjee re-joined Tata Steel on August 1, 2003 and was appointed the Vice President (Finance) w.e.f. August 1, 2004. With the announcement of the new Tata Steel Group post the acquisition of Corus, Mr. Chatterjee was appointed as Group Chief Financial Officer w.e.f. 1st January 2008. He has overall responsibility for Group Financial Reporting, Investor Relations, Financing Strategy including debt and equity raising, Corporate M&A, Risk Management and Compliance, Taxation Strategy and Planning and Co-ordination of statutory and management reporting.
He is on the Board of several Tata Steel Group companies including Tata Steel UK, NatSteel Asia Pte. Limited, Tata Steel (Thailand) Public Company Limited, Southern Steel Berhad, Malaysia and others.
Mr. Chatterjee was declared one of India's best CFOs by Business Today Magazine in 2005 and 2006 and by CNBC in 2007. He is also a frequent speaker in various conferences in India and abroad including the McKinsey Global CFO Forum, Economist Conferences and CII organised conferences.
Mr. Varun K. Jha
Vice President (Chattisgarh Project)
Mr Varun K. Jha is an electrical engineer from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. He has also done a PGDBM from XLRI and a Management Programme from CEDEP, France.
Mr. Jha joined Tata Steel in 1972 as a graduate trainee and started his professional career in the Engineering Division. He is currently the Vice President of Engineering and Chhattisgarh Project. He has worked in various capacities in the Engineering Division and Modernisation Group and was responsible for project management and construction of a large number of projects under the Modernisation programme.
He has worked in the area of Technical Training and was involved in revamping Graduate training and other training programmes including training of personnel for new projects. In 1993 he worked for about a year looking after the maintenance of Electrical and Electronic equipment for Hot Strip Mill and other new facilities.
From mid 1994 he has led Information Technology Services. He was responsible for implementation of a large number of IT projects including SAP R/3 systems, Production Planning Systems for Flat Products, Long Products and for the Cold Rolling Mill, Data Warehousing and Data mining, Knowledge Management, e-Procurement etc. He was also responsible for outsourcing of IT infrastructure to IBM and IT for plant systems to HP.
In 2003, Mr. Jha led the project to develop IT strategy for the Company. Gartner executed the project in consultation with an in-house team consisting of business managers and IT professionals. He has also led the IT Panel of CII Jharkhand Council and has interacted with Government Agencies to help formulate IT policy and also to promote e-Governance in the state.
He is currently a member of Board of Directors of Tata Yodogawa Ltd.
Under his leadership, Tata Steel has won several awards for innovative use of IT such as the prestigious NASSCOM award for best usage of IT in Manufacturing Industries in India. Last year, Dataquest and CIOL recognised Mr. Varun Jha as the Champion CIO in the country.
Mr. Abanindra M. Misra
Vice President, Shared Services
Mr A. M. Misra joined Tata Steel in 1973 as a Graduate Trainee after completing his B.E (Mechanical Engineering). He completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur in 1981.
Mr. A. M. Misra has been appointed Vice President, Shared Services of Tata Steel. Before this he had been the Vice President, CSI & IR from 1st April, 2010. Prior to this, as VP, Raw Materials and Coke, Sinter & Iron he had been in charge of the Mines and Collieries, Ferro Alloys Division and also the Iron Making Division.
Mr. Misra has also remained Vice President (Human Resources) during his long years of service. In the year 2001, he led the Performance Ethics Programme with the objective of reorganising the business units of Tata Steel as well as for developing the HR strategy of the Company for the future. Mr Misra has also attended the General Management Programme in CEDEP (INSEAD, France).
Mr. Misra has worked in the operations of Steel Plant for many years in various capacities such as Technical Officer, Divisional Manager (Foundries) etc. In the year 2002, he was appointed as General Manager of West Bokaro Colliery Division of Tata Steel. During his tenure West Bokaro Colliery was awarded the Qimpro National Benchmark in coal mining practices. Mr. Misra also led the Total Quality Movement in Tata Steel from 1996-2000. During this period, Tata Steel won the coveted JRD Quality Value Award and several other awards as well.
Mr. T. V. Narendran
Vice President, Safety, Flat Products & Long Products
Mr. T.V. Narendran is a Mechanical Engineer from REC (NIT) Trichy, who joined Tata Steel after his MBA from IIM Calcutta in 1988. He is a Chevening Scholar and has also attended the Advanced Management Programme in CEDEP - INSEAD, Fountainbleau, France.
Mr. Narendran worked in the International Trading Division of Tata Steel from 1988 to 1997 wherein he spent five years in Dubai looking after Tata Steels' exports to the Middle East. From 1997 to 2001 he spent time in Tata Steels' marketing and sales division and was involved in market development work for the Cold Rolling Mill Project, Supply Chain Management, Sales Planning etc. From 2001 to 2003 he was the Chief of Marketing & Sales (Long Products) and played a key role in building the 'Tata Tiscon' brand and the distribution network for the same. From 2003 to 2005 he worked with Mr. Muthuraman, the then Managing Director of Tata Steel as his Principal Executive Officer.
He was actively involved in the Tata Steel's first overseas acquisition, NatSteel and was seconded there as an Executive Vice President in 2005. He ran operations in NatSteel thereafter as the Deputy President (Operations) and took over as the President & CEO on 1st January 2008. He played a key role in the integration of NatSteel and Tata Steel.
Mr. Narendran is currently the Vice President, Safety and Flat Products of Tata Steel. W.e.f April 2013 he has also taken up responsibility of the Long Products division.
During his stint in NatSteel, Mr. Narendran was a director on the Board of South East Asia Iron & Steel Institute (SEAISI) and also served as the President of the ASEAN Iron & Steel Federation (AISIF) from 2007 to 2009. He was also the Vice Chairman of the CII (India Business Forum) in Singapore. He is currently on the boards of Tata Steel Thailand and NatSteel Holdings and an Alternate Director on the board of Southern Steel Berhad.
Mr. Anand Sen
Vice President, TQM and KPO
Mr. Anand Sen is currently Vice President (TQM & KPO) of Tata Steel Ltd. This division looks after Kalinganagar Project in Odisha of Tata Steel and he is also responsible for promotion of TQM across Tata Steel India.
Mr. Sen also serves on the boards of TAYO Rolls Ltd., Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Ltd, Tata BlueScope Ltd. and The Tinplate Company of India Limited. He chairs the Agrico Profit Centre Council, the Jharkhand Boxing Association and Jamshedpur School of Arts, among other things. He is also a member of Executive Council of Indian Institute of Metals.
Mr. Sen graduated from IIT, Kharagpur as a Metallurgical Engineer and joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in 1981. Subsequently, he completed his MBA from IIM, Kolkata and executive MBA from CEDEP at INSEAD.
Mr. Sen has spent a significant part of his career in the area of Marketing and Sales, Strategy and Business Leadership. He has led the company's foray into branded steel from India's first dedicated Steel Distribution Channel. He has also been associated with the development of specialized steel for the automotive industry. He has served as Chairman of the Living Steel Project of WSA, which is a global body to promote usage of steel in construction.
He has authored a number of papers and journals and was awarded the Essar Gold Medal of the Indian Institute of Metals
He resides at Jamshedpur along with his wife and his two children.
Mr. Partha Sengupta
Vice President, Raw Materials & CSI
Mr. Partha Sengupta, has been appointed as Vice President (Raw Materials & CSI). He had joined the Company as a Graduate Trainee in 1980.
A metallurgist from IT, BHU, Mr. Sengupta has had the experience of contributing to diverse departments of Tata Steel since he joined the Company. After stints in R & D and Scientific Services, he was transferred to Marketing Division in 1991, where he worked till 1995. Thereafter, Mr. Sengupta served as a Commercial Manager in MD's office, Kolkata. In 1996, he took charge to re-structure the Order Fulfillment Process as Head of the Customer Order Management Department. He was then involved in re-engineering the outbound supply chain and creation of Customer Service Division, which he headed as Chief till 2002.
In 2002, Mr. Partha Sengupta moved to Mumbai in Tata Special Steel Limited, the largest manufacturer of steel wires in the country. He supervised its merger into Tata Steel and was placed as the Executive-in-Charge of Wire Division in 2003. In 2005, Mr. Sengupta took over as the Principal Executive Officer to the Managing Director. While carrying forward the responsibility of being the PEO of the Company, Mr. Sengupta was given additional charge of overseeing the Jharkhand Steel Project. In 2007, Mr. Sengupta took over as Vice President (Corporate Services), Tata Steel and worked relentlessly to take all areas under his supervision to greater heights. As VP Raw Materials, Mr. Sengupta is in charge of not only the existing Raw Materials Division but also of Global Minerals, Natural Resources Division, Raw Materials Strategy Group and S&T Mining Project.
He was appointed Chairman of ISWP in 2008. He is a Director of the JUSCO Board and Tata Pigments Limited. He has also been appointed as Chairman of CII - Jharkhand Council in 2008.
An able and proficient multi tasker, with an eye for perfection, Mr. Sengupta has not only lived up to the expectations of his team as a leader and team member but has also created high standards of work culture. His keen business acumen and result oriented approach has made him excel in executing challenging assignments and responsibilities entrusted upon him. In addition to excelling professionally in all fields assigned to him, Mr. Sengupta has undergone extensive training in various Institutions around the world like INSEAD, France.

Mr. Suresh Dutt Tripathi
Vice President (Human Resource Management)
Mr. Suresh Dutt Tripathi joined Tata Steel as Vice President (Human Resource Management) on October 18, 2012. He has handled all aspects of HR function from shop floor to Group Head level during his 29 years of professional career spanning across manufacturing, IT, chemicals and education industry.
He has completed Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work from The University of Calcutta. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Business Administration from All India Management Association.
He is an avid sports lover having won gold medals in National Rifle Shooting Championship and state level Boxing Championship.
Mr. Tripathi has been awarded with "HR Leadership" Award during Asia Pacific HRM Congress held in September 2010 and "Pride of HR Profession" Award during India Human Capital Summit held in December 2011.
He is also a board member of National HRD Network, President of NHRD Network, Delhi & NCR Chapter and Advisory Board member of a number of academic institutes.
Mr. Alok Kanagat
Vice President (Engineering & Projects)
Mr. Kanagat is a B. Tech.in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay and has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Leeds, UK.
Prior to joining Tata Steel Mr. Kanagat was working as Chief - Projects in Tata Power, Mumbai. He was earlier CEO of Tata Power's team that executed the world's largest Greenfield Power Project - 4000 MW capacity - at Mundra, Gujarat. He has handled various aspects of Large Projects, including International Assignments, during 38 years of professional career spanning across Petroleum & Power sectors. He has worked in organisations like Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd., Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Reliance Industries Ltd (India & UK) and Tata Power Ltd.
Mr. Sunil Bhaskaran
Deputy Vice President Corporate Services
Mr. Bhaskaran is a Chemical Engineer from IIT Delhi with a PG Diploma from IIM Calcutta. He is currently the Deputy Vice President of Corporate Services.
Mr Sunil Bhaskaran is responsible for Tata Steel's Corporate Citizenship vision, overseeing the realization of Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives within Tata Steel (India) Operations. Aimed at improving the quality of life of over a million stakeholders in neighbouring communities, he provides leadership to departments such as - Corporate Sustainability Services, Corporate Affairs & Communications, External Corporate Relations, Administration, Medical, Security Services, Legal, Sports and Jamshedpur Town Infrastructure & Logistics departments and also heads. He also heads the Procurement division responsible for sourcing of raw materials, services, consumables and spares functions.
He is a Chemical Engineer (B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, 1985) and a Management Post Graduate (PGDM from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta 1987). He has also completed his GMP from Cedep INSEAD, France in 2000.
Mr Bhaskaran has over 25 years of varied experience in the Tata Group. With early experience in Tata Steel mainly in Marketing and Sales, he went on to head Tata Steel's exports function before moving to Tata International in 2002 as Vice President and Principal Executive Officer. In that role he was responsible for Strategy, Business Excellence, HR, Communications and Corporate Planning, at Tata International. In 2005 he moved back to Tata Steel in MDs Office at Mumbai. In 2006 he moved to Global Wires and has been Executive in Charge (Global Wires) which includes all Tata Steel Wires entities in India, Thailand, China and Sri Lanka.
Sunil is Chairman on the Boards of Tata Steel subsidiaries namely Siam Industrial Wires (Thailand), TSN Wires (Thailand), which is a JV with Nichia Steel Wires, Nippon Steels Wires subsidiary, Lanka Special Steels Limited (Sri Lanka). He is also a Director on the Boards of Indian Steel & Wire Products (Jamshedpur, India) & Jamshepdur Utilities and Services Company Limited, JUSCO (Jamshedpur, India). He was the Chairman of Wuxi Jinyang Metal Products (China), before Tata Steel exited it in early 2013.
He is also Chairman of Tata Steel Family Initiatives Foundation, Vice Chairman of Tata Relief Committee, Sr. Vice President of Tata Steel Rural Development Society, Vice President of Jamshedpur Eye Hospital, President of Tribal Cultural Society, President of Tata Steel Zoological Society, President of Tata Employees Housing & Welfare Society and Trustee of Tata Steel Adventure Foundation. He is also a Trustee on a school and a hospital in Tarapore, Maharastra.
His passion includes golf and music.
Mr. Arun Misra
Deputy Vice President, Operations - KPO
Mr. Arun Misra joined Tata Steel in 1988 after completing his graduation in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur.
Mr. Arun Mishra is the Deputy Vice President, Operations - KPO and was appointed as the Principal Executive Officer of Tata Steel on 1st April 2010. He is also the Vice President f the Indian Institute of Mineral Engineers and has published several papers of national repute in their journal.
After graduating from IIT Kharagpur in 1988, with a degree in Electrical Engineering, he joined Tata Steel as a maintenance engineer in Coal Washeries. He later moved to lead the Coal Beneficiation Group at West Bokaro as its Chief in 2003. He is credited with the unique achievement of upgrading Indian semi-coking coal of high impurities to imported coking coal quality.
Mr. Mishra has a Diploma in General Management from CEDEP, France and has completed a Mining and Beneficiation program from University of New South Wales Sydney, Australia. He is also the Director on the boards of Tata Sponge Iron Ltd. and Tata Steel UK Consulting Ltd.
Mr. R. Ranganath
Deputy Vice President (Financial Reporting & Control)
Mr. R. Ranganath has joined Tata Steel as Dy. Vice President (Financial Reporting & Control). After completing his B.Sc., Mr. Ranganath did his ACA from ICAI. With more than 25 years of professional experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, he has acquired functional expertise in the areas of finance, marketing and strategy.
An in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Accounting and Control, has enabled Mr. Ranganath to maintain an interface with the Audit Committee in Cairn India Ltd and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL).
Mr. Ranganath was with Cairn India Ltd. as Head - Finance (responsible for Finance and IT functions) when he received the offer to join Tata Steel. Prior to the above assignment, he was employed as the Head - Finance of Retail SBU in Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., the second largest oil Refining and Marketing Company in India. His ability to work in multi-cultural environments, and to inspire and lead a team of professionals is evident in the fact that he is a member of several Leadership Councils.
Beyond his expertise in the professional arena, Mr. Ranganath has represented his school and college in game of Table Tennis. He is very conscious about his physical fitness as he practices Yoga and does work-outs at the Gymnasium on a regular basis. He also practices meditation during leisure.

Dr. Karl-Ulrich Köhler
CEO and Managing Director
Dr. Karl-Ulrich Köhler joined Tata Steel Europe Limited as Chief Operating Officer on 1st February 2010. He became CEO and Managing Director on 1st October 2010. He is based at IJmuiden in the Netherlands.
Born in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, Dr Köhler studied metallurgy at Clausthal University of Technology, where he gained his doctorate in 1988. In 2005 he was awarded an honorary professorship in flat steel product technology by Freiberg University. Married with four children, Dr Köhler is a former member of the executive committee of the World Steel Association and Vice Chairman of VDEh, the German Iron and Steel Institute.
He has worked during his 30-year steel industry career at the companies that today comprise ThyssenKrupp Steel, where he was most recently Chairman of the Executive Board and a Member of the Board of the parent company, ThyssenKrupp AG. Until October 2009 he was President of Eurofer, the European steelmaking federation, in which role he succeeded former Tata Steel Europe CEO Philippe Varin. He brings to Tata Steel Europe a wealth of knowledge and experience of steelmaking in Europe, as well as of the European steel supply chain and customer base.
Dr Henrik Adam
Chief Commercial Officer
Dr Henrik Adam joined Tata Steel Europe Limited as Chief Commercial Officer on 1 May 2011.
Born in Essen in 1964, Dr Adam studied mechanical engineering with a specialisation in automotive engineering. In 1991 he graduated from Aachen University of Technology in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering, and then completed a doctorate in Automotive Engineering in 1995.
After acting as the Managing Director of Forschungsgesellschaft Kraftfahrwesen mbH Aachen, Dr Adam joined ThyssenKrupp Steel in 1998 and served the ThyssenKrupp Group for 13 years in different sales, marketing and technical roles, including Chairman of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Electrical Steel, Chairman of the Board of ThyssenKrupp Electrical Steel India Ltd. and the Chairman of the Board of ThyssenKrupp Steel Japan.
Dr Adam has also served as the Chairman of WorldAutoSteel, the automotive group of the World Steel Association, whose successes included the UltraLight Steel Auto Body (ULSAB) and FutureSteelVehicle (FSV) projects.
Dr Adam is married with one child.
Mr Hans Fischer
Chief Technical Officer
Hans Fischer joined Tata Steel Europe on 1 July 2012 as Chief Technical Officer.
Born in the Dutch city of Nijmegen, Hans studied mechanical engineering and graduated as an engineer at Eindhoven University. In 1985, he embarked on his professional career as a project manager in the Engineering department of Hoogovens. He worked there until 2000 and his last position was director of the steel works.
In 2001 he joined Salzgitter as Technical Managing Director, where he was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of Salzgitter Flachstahl in 2004. Hans later became a member of the Executive Board of Salzgitter AG. In 2010 Hans joined ThyssenKrupp where he was CEO for Steel Americas, leaving the role at the end of 2011.
Mr. Tor Farquhar
Director Human Resources
Mr. Tor Farquhar was appointed to Tata Steel Europe as Group Human Resources Director and member of the Executive Committee from 1st October 2007.
Previously, Mr. Tor Farquhar was Group HR Director for Alfred McAlpine plc, the building and construction services group, where he worked from 2002. Prior to this, he worked in number of HR roles in the energy sector. He was Group HR Director at Npower, a leading supplier of electricity and gas in the UK and he held senior HR positions in its predecessor companies, National Power and International Power. He spent the early part of his career with BP plc, working in various HR roles in its Group Asia Pacific business based in Indonesia and Vietnam, as well as in the BP Exploration and BP Oil businesses.
Mr. Tor Farquhar is a graduate of the University of Glasgow. He is married and has 2 children.

Mr Bimlendra Jha is a Ceramic Engineer from IT-BHU, Varanasi and has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Mr Jha, up until his present role, was Vice President Long Products Business of Tata Steel. Prior to that, he held a chief of staff role, Principal Executive Officer (PEO) serving two Managing Directors of Tata Steel, Mr B Muthuraman and Mr H M Nerurkar. He also served as the Secretary of Group Corporate Center (GCC) which was the apex co-ordination forum of Tata Steel’s worldwide operations.
He was the Executive-In-Charge of Tata Growth Shop, a capital equipment manufacturing business of Tata Steel before being appointed as PEO. He is acknowledged as having had a significant part in turning this business unit around using his skills in Theory of Constraints (TOC) and other improvement philosophies.
Helen Matheson
Director Legal
Helen Matheson was appointed as Director Legal, Tata Steel Europe and a member of the Tata Steel Europe Executive Committee from 1st May 2009.
Previously, she was Head of Profession and Legal Director, Markets at the Office of Gas & Electricity Markets (Ofgem), the UK energy regulator. Prior to this, Helen worked in private practice for a firm in the City of London, and has worked in legal practice overseas in Brussels and in Philadelphia. She is specialised in corporate and competition laws.
Helen graduated with an LLB Hons from the University of Glasgow, and has a Masters degree in International and Comparative Laws from the Free University of Brussels. She holds a dual legal qualification in English and Scots law. She is married and has a son and a daughter.
Mr N K Misra
Executive Director, Finance
NK Misra is Executive Director Finance of Tata Steel's European Operations.
NK Misra received a Bachelor of Science degree from Lucknow University in 1976 and is a member of India’s Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has also completed the General Management Programme at CEDEP/INSEAD in France.
He joined Tata Steel in 1981 as an Accounts Officer at the Collieries Division and was seconded to its associate company, Kumardhubi Metal Casting and Engineering Limited, in 1984, where he became CFO.
In 1993 he returned to Tata Steel as Head of Finance and Accounts at the Bearings Profit Centre, then at the Tubes Profit Centre. He moved to Strategic Finance as Head New Business Finance and was subsequently appointed as Chief Strategic Finance. He has worked as Tata Steel’s Chief Strategist, looking after Portfolio Management (associate companies), Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestments, and providing strategic direction to the Company.
Until his appointment as Finance Director of Tata Steel Europe, he has been Group Head (Mergers & Acquisitions) with overall responsibility for Tata Steel Group’s Mergers & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, New Businesses and Divestments.
Mr Misra is a Director of Tata BlueScope Steel Limited, Tata Ryerson Limited, Tata NYK Shipping Pte Ltd, Riversdale Energy Mauritius Limited, and New Millennium Iron Corp.
Mr. Andrew Robb
Non Executive Independent Director
Mr. Andrew M. Robb is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He has been a Non Executive Independent Director of Tata Steel Limited since November 22, 2007. He joined the board of Corus Group plc and became Chairman of the Audit Committee in August 2003.
Following the takeover of Corus by Tata Steel in March 2007 Andrew Robb remained on the Board and, in November 2007, he became a non-executive director of Tata Steel Limited. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Tata Steel Europe Limited.
Mr. Robb was Finance Director of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Co, between 1983 and 1989 and then became Finance Director of Pilkington Group PLC from 1989 to 2001. Mr. Robb remained a Director of Pilkington until January 28, 2003.
Mr. Robb became a Director of JaguarLandRover and Chairman of the Audit Committee in April 2009. He is also a Non-Executive director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Kesa Electricals plc and Laird plc and Senior Independent Director of Paypoint plc.

Mr. Vivek Kamra
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr Vivek M. Kamra, 43, is the President & Chief Executive Officer of NatSteel Holdings as of 1 April 2010. Prior to joining NatSteel, he was Executive In-Charge of Tata Steel's Tubes Division - an independent profit centre with annual turnover of USD 450 Million for FY 09.
He has risen through the ranks in Tata Steel upon graduation from the Indian Institute of Technology in Powai, with a Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical Engineering in 1989. Having started off as Assistant Manager in Process Control and Quality Assurance, he became Dy Manager of Sales (Hot Rolled Steel Coils In Mumbai), and thereafter Assistant Divisional Manager of International Trading. He was made Chief of Customer Service Division in 2002 and thereafter was promoted to be the Executive-In-Charge of the Tubes Division in 2005.
He is currently leading Tata Steels Construction Plans (India) and is the Director of Tata Ryerson Limited, the largest steel service centre in India. He is also the Chairman of Steel Tube Division of the Confederation of Indian Industry.
He has attended the Advanced Senior Management Program at CEDEP - INSEAD, Fontainbleau, France; and is married with two sons.
