Tata Steel's Debashis Mukherjee won MEAI- Abheraj Baldota Memorial Gold Medal award

Mr Debashis Mukherjee, Senior Manager, Excavation, Khondbond Iron Mine , Ore Mines Quarries (OMQ) Division, Tata Steel, won the MEAI (Mining Engineers' Association of India) - Abheraj Baldota Memorial Gold Medal award  (Young Mining Engineer of the year) 2016 in a seminar held at Department of Mining Engineering, College of Technology and Engineering, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, Rajasthan on July 7, 2017.

The award was received by Mr Mukherjee from Mr Ranjan Sahai, Controller General, IBM, Mr T Victor, President, MEAI and Mr Arjun Lal Munda , MP, Uaipur during the inauguration of National Seminar on ''Recent Mining and Environmental Issues in India'' at Udaipur. He also participated in the Annual General Meeting of MEAI, 2016-17, which was held after the seminar on this occasion.

Taking pride over the achievement, Mr Pankaj Satija, General Manager (OMQ), Tata Steel said: “We have come across a long way as a company that believes in nurturing and providing scope for growth to its employees. This award shows that competency building, leadership development and continuous improvement have been our hallmark in the human resource management.”
