Tata Steel in association with Sports Authority of India sets up an 'Extension Centre for Athletics and Boxing'

Jamshedpur, August 27, 2018

Tata Steel in association with Sports Authority of India (SAI) has set up “Tata Steel - SAI extension center in Athletics and Boxing” (Non-Residential) in Jamshedpur.

For selections to this centre, the trials will be held at JRD Tata Sports Complex between September 12th to 14th, 2018 from 9:00 am to 11.30 am and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. All interested candidates must report on September 12, 2018 at 9:00 am.

The selected candidates will be provided with playing kit, facilities for practice and competitions and also training by expert coaches of SAI.

Induction will be done on results based on battery test, game specific test and physical development. The candidates should be aged between 12 to 18 years. The minimum height and weight criteria is mentioned below:-

The participants should bring the following documents:
1.         Age proof certificates (school or certificate issued by gram panchayat is accepted).
2.         Merit certificate in particular sports discipline, if any.
