Tata Business Excellence Group today organised’ Sky is the limit’ Programme at FASY Auditorium, Loyola School. The event was an interactive dialogue session for Senior School students with Ms Bachendari Pal, Ms Arunima Sinha and Ms Premlata Agarwal. The programme was attended by over 1300 students of class VIII and above from more than 50 schools in Jamshedpur. The students were also accompanied by teachers and principals.

Mr N K Sharan, Vice President, Tata Business Excellence Group, welcomed the guests and provided the background behind the initiative. Dr Jitu Singh, Professor, XLRI, introduced the speakers and conducted the dialogue. Mrs Ruchi Narendran, TEEP Executive Committee member and Chairperson, SAFE, presented mementos to the speakers.

Ms Bachendri Pal, Mrs Premlata Agrawal and Ms Arunima Sinha answered over 20 questions from students. The questions covered a wide range of topics from leadership qualities, challenges faced, interests and career choices, parental pressures, turning points in childhood and student experiences.

Inspired by Tata Steel’s “Window of the World” programme, Tata Business Excellence Group (formerly TQMS) had started a platform called “SKIL-Sky is the Limit” for senior school children at Jamshedpur under its Education Excellence Programme (TEEP). The objective of this initiative is to enable students to interact with accomplished personalities and derive inspiration from them. Earlier Dr. Kalam had interacted with children. In 2015, there was a lively question answer session with Dr. Radhakrishnan (ISRO chief). In August 2015, Dr Jamshed J Irani, former Managing Director Tata Steel and Mr. T V Narendran Managing Director, Tata Steel and South East Asia, had a dialogue with students on the theme ‘Leadership Lessons’. The children and school communities have highly appreciated these interactions, as children gets to see and interact with accomplished people and derive inspiration.
