Ratan N. Tata

Chairman Emeritus

N. Chandrasekaran

Chairman, Non-Executive

Chairman of the Board of Tata Sons, the holding company and promoter of all Tata Group companies. He also chairs the Boards of several group operating companies, including Tata Motors, Tata Power, Air India, Tata Chemicals, Tata Consumer Products, Indian Hotels and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). His appointment as Chairman, Tata Sons, followed a 30-year business career at TCS. He rose through the ranks at TCS to become CEO and Managing Director of the leading global IT solution and consulting firm. In 2022, he was conferred the Padma Bhushan, one of India’s highest civilian awards, in the field of Trade and Industry.

O. P. Bhatt

Independent Director

A seasoned and thoughtful leader who brings years of experience across a wide variety of strategic and operational roles, which includes his five-year role as Chairman and CEO of State Bank of India (SBI), a Fortune 500 company. He is best known for transforming SBI and bringing efficiency and competitiveness. Under his chairmanship, SBI adopted an aggressive strategy in marketing and operations. In the past, he has been the government’s nominee on the India-US CEO Forum, Indo-French CEO Forum and Indo-Russia CEO Forum. Currently, he serves as Independent Director on several Boards including TCS, Tata Motors and Hindustan Unilever among others.

Noel Naval Tata

Vice Chairman, Non-Executive

He has been associated with the Tata Group for over 38 years and currently serves as the Chairman of Trent, Tata International, Voltas, Tata Investment Corporation and Vice Chairman of Titan. He also serves as Trustee on the Board of Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust. He was instrumental in spearheading the trading and distribution arm of the Tata Group. Under his leadership, Tata International witnessed growth in turnover from US$500 mn to US$3.7 bn. He also led Trent for 11+ years and grew it across formats from one store operations in 1998 to over 500 stores in 2022.

Deepak Kapoor

Independent Director

He is former Chairman of PwC India. During his illustrious career with PwC, he served in various leadership and client service roles in India and overseas. He has extensive experience in the audit function as well as business advisory related work. His experience, in India and overseas, encompasses multiple industries. He serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of Tata Steel Minerals Canada, HCL Technologies, Nayara Energy and Delhivery. He is also associated with Save the Children as the Chairman of its India operations and a member on its global board.

Mallika Srinivasan

Independent Director

A thought leader and a strategist, she is recognised for entrepreneurship, commitment to excellence and contribution to Indian agriculture machinery business and academia. She is the Chairman and Managing Director of TAFE – Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, a `10,000 crore tractor major. She serves on the Board of AGCO Corporation – USA, and is the Chairperson of the Public Enterprises Selection Board, Department of Personnel & Training under the Ministry of Personnel, Government of India.

V. K. Sharma

Independent Director

He served as the Chairman of Life Insurance Corporation of India. While at LIC, he held various challenging assignments pan India and in all operational streams. Working across the length and breadth of the country has added immensely to his experience and honed his understanding of the demographics of the country, socio-economic needs of different regions and multi-cultural challenges in the implementation of organisational objectives. An inspiring ‘Growth Leader', he is known for his nearly 40 years of extensive experience in insurance and financial sectors. He is a believer in connecting with the grassroots and has a bottom-up approach. He serves on the Boards of Mahindra & Mahindra and Reliance Power among others.

Farida Khambata

Independent Director

Co-founder of Cartica, an independent investment boutique focussed on emerging markets. Prior to co-founding Cartica, she was a member of IFC’s Management Group. In her last position at IFC, she served as the Regional Vice President in charge of operations in East Asia and the Pacific, South Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. She was responsible for strategy, investment operations and advisory services in IFC’s member countries in these regions. She also oversaw all equity investments globally and investments in Agribusiness, Manufacturing and Services and Health and Education, regardless of geography. She serves on the Boards of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Dragon Capital (Vietnam) and Tata Investment Corporation.

T. V. Narendran

CEO & Managing Director

He has over 34 years of experience in the Metals and Mining industry and has been a thought leader on complex, strategic and operational matters relating to steel industry. He is responsible for the business and corporate affairs of Tata Steel globally. He spearheaded the Company in achieving best ever business performance in FY 2021-22. He has overseen the organic and inorganic growth of Tata Steel over the last few years including the Kalinganagar greenfield expansion and acquisition of Bhushan Steel among others. A member of the Executive Committee and the Board of the World Steel Association and President of the Indian Institute of Metals, he has served as the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) from 2021 to 2022.

David W. Crane

Independent Director

A prominent energy industry executive, both in the traditional and clean energy sectors, he has been a long-term climate advocate, committed to leading the energy industry’s transition to clean energy. He has 13 years of aggregate experience as CEO of three publicly traded energy companies, International Power, NRG Energy, and NRG Yield (now Clearway Energy). He also serves as a leader of 'B Team', a select group of business executives and society leaders convened to demonstrate that corporate leadership can be harnessed to solve global societal issues.

Koushik Chatterjee

Executive Director & CFO

He has been part of the leadership team and has led the Finance function for over 15 years. He has stewarded financial strategy and financing programs for over US$60 bn. He has been instrumental in portfolio restructuring and turnaround of businesses of various subsidiaries. He has been deeply involved on issues of ESG and UN SDGs. A thought leader on sustainable finance and reporting, he serves as a member of UN Global Compact, CFO Task Force on SDGs, Value Reporting Foundation, Task force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures among others. He has been on the Global Preparers Forum of IASB and was member of SEBI’s Primary Market Advisory Committee.

Saurabh Agrawal

Non-Executive Director

Executive Director and Group Chief Financial Officer of Tata Sons since 2017. In this role, he is focussed on driving financial performance of the Group through rigour and synergy in capital allocation, investment management and portfolio optimisation. Prior to joining Tata Sons, he was Head of Strategy at the Aditya Birla Group. In a career spanning over two decades, he was Head of Investment Banking in India for Bank of America Merrill Lynch and also Head of Corporate Finance business in India and South Asia for Standard Chartered Bank.
