Tata Steel employees whose determination, dedication and incisive thought have created a difference in the Company's working system were felicitated today at the "SHABASH" function. Mr H M Nerurkar, Managing Director and chief guest on the occasion honoured the employees on behalf of Tata Steel.

This year, 25 employees across the cross section of the Company were recognized for their remarkable contribution towards the betterment of the work process. Each of these contributions was shared with the audience while felicitating them.

Congratulating the awardees, Mr Nerurkar said, "It is you and your exemplary contribution to the workplace that has created a difference and has taken us to greater heights. The fact that some of the winners today have also bagged this award previously goes a long way to reveal the level of dedication rooted in each and every one of Tata Steel's employees. I congratulate each one of you on your achievement."

"SHABASH" was introduced in 2002 to instantly and innovatively recognise and reward employees for exemplary individual and team behaviour. The scheme covers all employees (non-officers) of Tata Steel. Under the Shabash scheme, the employees are recognized under three categories - Instant Shabashi, Shabashi Diwas Award and Special Shabashi Bonanza. The winners are also eligible for a Special Shabashi bonanza - an all paid holiday package for three days/ 4 nights for a family of four, at selected locations like Ganktok, Puri, Darjeeling, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Goa, Shimla, Mussoorie, Nanital and Manali.

Presently, over 110 employees have been felicitated with the prestigious award.
