Tata Steel Thailand, with its three Electric Arc Furnace (EAF)-based plants, has led the way in green steel manufacturing. Now, Tata Steel is actively advancing its green steel journey across other geographies, marking a significant transition from traditional carbon-intensive steelmaking. In Ludhiana, Punjab (India), the Company has inaugurated its 100% scrap-based EAF plant.

In Port Talbot, UK, construction is progressing on the £1.25 billion EAF project. This facility is projected to reduce carbon emissions by 90% and achieve an annual production capacity of 3.2 million tonnes. In the Netherlands, we continue to invest and work toward enhancing the living environment and reducing the impact of our operations on the surrounding community in IJmuiden. Also, a Joint Letter of Intent with the Dutch government outlines additional targeted measures that extend beyond legal requirements.

Collectively, these initiatives underscore Tata Steel's commitment to sustainability across geographies. The Company is not merely adapting to a greener industrial landscape; it is proactively shaping the future of steel production.
