#SamvaadSnapshot Photography contest Rules and Regulations
- 1. ELIGIBILITY
- 1.1 The competition is open to everybody.
- 1.2 Images that have won prizes in prior competitions, or have been used for commercial purposes and/or been published will not be eligible.
- 2. SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES VIA FACEBOOK (https://www.facebook.com/TataSteelLtd/)
- 2.1 Post an image which you feel associates well with Indian tribes and tribal culture. It can be anything, mountains, beaches, first, festivals, etc. The image needs to be shared with #SamvaadSnapshot within the comments section on the contest entry post only.
- 2.2 Images of not more than 3 MB in size must be submitted. Please share high resolution images.
- 2.3 Winners will be notified to submit their original images within a week for judging.
- 2.4 Submitted images should be in JPEG/PNG format and at least 1,600 pixels wide for a horizontal image or 1,600 pixels tall for a vertical image.
- 2.5 Each participant can submit only 1 image.
- 2.6 Digital manipulation that distorts the reality of the images will not be allowed. Only basic enhancements such as sharpening, contrast adjustment, or simple cropping will be allowed.
- 2.7 The submission deadline is November 10th, 2016, before 11.59pm.
- 3. COPYRIGHT/INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- 3.1 Each image submitted must be the original and unpublished work of the participant who must also be its copyright owner.
- 3.2 The participant shall retain copyright to the image entered for the competition.
- 3.3 Images received by the organiser through the competition will not be used by the organiser for commercial purposes.
- 4. JUDGING AND RESULTS
- 4.1 The images will be selected by a panel of judges and their decision is final. No correspondence pertaining to the selection process and decision will be entertained.
- 4.2 The panel of judges will evaluate the images based on the following criteria:
- Artistic/visual appeal.
- Extent to which the photograph captures the essence of the theme. - 4.3 Images will be judged based on originality, creativity and relevance to the theme.
- 4.4 The judging panel reserves the right not to award the prizes if the images submitted do not meet the requirements stated in this document.
- 5. ACCEPTANCE OF RULES AND REGULATIONS
- 5.1 By submitting an image for the competition, the participant will be regarded as having accepted and agreed to be bound by the rules and regulations of the competition.
