We started our Quit Plastic Campaign journey from Last year’s World Environment Day hosted by India, which had the theme of Beat Plastic Pollution World-wide only 10-13% of plastic items are recycled. 150 MT of plastics is in the ocean right now growing at 8 MT per year.

The goal of the Green Campaign launched for Jamshedpur FC in ISL season 5 (2018-19) was to reduce plastic footprint. We were able to reduce the flex usage by 56%.

Centre for Excellence was the first model department to reduce the plastic usage.

45 departments in Jamshedpur participated in the 30-Day Challenge to eliminate single use plastic from the work place in the month of May. Sports Department emerged as the winner and Wire Rod Mill and I Blast Furnace secured the first and second runners up positions.
