Towards the middle of 1995, Tata
Steel decided that it would be appropriate to bring out a publication highlighting the
Company's will to win, giving instances where the employees had stretched themselves
beyond limitations and beyond set norms striving for excellence. Once the objectives were
identified, this quarterly publication entitled "Will to Win" was started -Issue
Number 1 was published in July 1995.
It is hard to believe that almost seven years have gone by and Issue Number 25 of Will to
Win is being published in April 2002. In this period of seven years, Will to Win At 25, we
say has "earned silver" -the publication from Tata Steel, which has been
appreciated by many, has completed its Silver Jubilee. At least 200 with a High Five
instances of individuals/teams going out of their way for the benefit of or should we say
the Steel Company, thereby demonstrating their will to win through action have been
published selected from many which were submitted.
We do hope that you have enjoyed going through all the anecdotes published so far. With
the Silver Jubilee Issue now published, it was felt that it would be an opportune time to
"hand over the baton". A new publication entitled "Aspire and Excel"
will replace Will to Win from July-August 2002 onwards. You will receive the first issue
of Aspire and Excel by the third quarter of 2002, which will give you some idea why this
new title has been chosen basically for highlighting innovations in rata Steel. In the
meantime, thank you for your patronage of Will to Win and happy reading of this Silver
Jubilee Issue.
Bye bye; Ta ta; Sayonara; Wieder sehen .See you in month 7. |
