Extending the scope of
Knowledge Management

Knowledge Management now reaches out to the supervisors of the Company

After having successfully taken Knowledge Management to the officers of the Company, Tata Steel’s Knowledge Management Group launched “Aspire Knowledge Manthan” aimed at the supervisors and workmen.

The robustness of the Knowledge Management systems in place for the officers, whose needs are different from that of the workmen and supervisors, prompted the KM Group to develop a system for the latter.

While launching the programme, the chief guest and Deputy Managing Director, Steel, Dr T Mukherjee explained that “the purpose of this exercise is to give confidence to the people in performing their work better. This programme is the best means to assimilate knowledge and then disseminate it to a larger audience.” Also present at the function was Mr R B B Singh, President, Tata Workers’ Union.
