The esteemed customers with Mr H M Nerurkar, VP, FP

The primary objective of Customer Forums, initiated by the Managing Director, Mr B Muthuraman, was more than met at the 3rd Customer Forum held on March 27. Among the invitees were Mr Prakash Kodlikeri, MD, Kalyani Lemmerz, Pune; Mr Pawan Mangla, M/s Bhagwati Steel Enterprises; and Mr Ajai Jain, M/s KLPK Jain.

They represented a wide spectrum of customers covering hot rolled sheet, cold rolled sheets, coils and Tiscon bars. Over 500 shopfloor employees, primarily non-officers engaged in the manufacture of products, participated in the meet, during which they were introduced to the customers and the latter’s needs and anxieties were shared with them.

During these sessions customers provided candid and insightful feedback on the products supplied to them by Tata Steel, as well as suggested areas of improvement. The employees who attended the meet covered the entire gamut of steelmaking.

The customers had prepared meticulously for the meet. Mr Pawan Mangla took the effort of bringing defective material supplied to his company, back to Jamshedpur all the way from Chandigarh, to impress on Tata Steel how it can gain better customer satisfaction.
