Raw Material Handling
The Department performed exceptionally well to handle 15.56 MT of Raw Materials and facilitate the record 5MT production by the Steel Works. An increase in manpower productivity as well as mechanised handling and unloading of tippler unfit wagons using Grab Buckets resulted in 56130 Coal and Coke wagons (BOXN) being unloaded at RMH. Use of Grab Bucket brought down Coke degradation by 4%.
Daily Management in Iron Ore was implemented and a quantum improvement from 60% to 90% seen in percentage weightment of Raw Material trains.
Iron Making
Many
of the phenomenal records registered by the Company
were achieved in iron making, with the A-F Blast
Furnaces, G Blast Furnace, Coke Plant and Sinter
Plant contributing through exceptional performances.
The Coke Plant at 167.7 per day, achieved the
highest ever pushing in Battery 8 & 9. It also
bettered all its earlier performances by achieving
the best ever annual record in coal, coke and B.P.P.
The Sinter Plant blazed an amazing trail with
records on all fronts. |
