Senior company officials listen to suggestions from vendors

The Vendor Dialogue organised by the Jharia Division resulted in a number of useful suggestions, which will ensure better understanding between the Company and its vendors as well as delivery compliance by them.

Among the significant gains has been the removal of anomalies that crept into the system during the data-entry migration period, when SAP was being implemented. The encouragement given to the vendors by Mr P K Pattanayak, Chief, HR/IR at the Dialogue to express their views freely and frankly has allowed the Company and the Division to enhance the level of efficiency of Tata Steel’s e-procurement system. Mr Pattanayak urged vendors to ensure timely submission of quotations and regret letters to achieve smooth functioning of the e-procurement system.
