Mr Gill given an overview of Noamundi's operation from a vantage point in the mines by Mr A D Baijal, Mr G S Dhar and Mr Sanjay Singh

Mr J S Gill, Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Government of India and Dr R N Bohidar, Principal Secretary, Steel & Mines Government of Orissa, visited Noamundi and Joda respectively recently, Mr Gill visited the mines, the new Slime Dam, The Botanical Park and the Plantation site and was extremely satisfied with the environment conservation measures undertaken at Noamundi.

Dr Bohidar was particularly impressed with the work done by Tata Steel in remote villages in vicinity of the Joda Mines and  the urged officials with him to adopt the growth models developed by Tata Steel Rural Development Society
