Jamshedpur savours General’s visit

For the people of Jamshedpur and especially its golfers the 55th Steel City Golf Tournament will remain a memorable one. It provided the hoi polloi with the opportunity to brush shoulders with one of India’s most powerful men. General J J Singh, Chief of Army Staff of the Great Indian Army, visited the steel city from February 17 to 19, 2006.

General J J Singh, who was the Chief Guest at the tournament and played an excellent round, took time off to visit the Centre for Excellence. For us in Tata Steel his comments after the visit are a great morale booster.

“An unforgettable experience to see this wonderful collection of photographs, collages, artefacts and original documents, which trace the history of the ‘Steel Family of India.’ Highly motivating and inspiring to see where we had started and where we are today. Salutations & God bless to the entire Tata Enterprise.”
