Jamshedpur, April 19, 2003Mr.B.Muthuraman received the Best CEO award
today from the Indian Institute of Materials Management at the BOC Pavilion.
The award was to be presented to MD at the Asia Pacific Conference at
Baroda in October, but due to the fact that he was abroad the National Executive Committee
along with all the National Councilors representing the various branches in the country
especially came over to Jamshedpur to hand over the award to Mr.Muthuraman. The earlier
recipient of the Awards are given below:

The award ceremony was not only a red-letter day for the
National Body but was a momentous occasion for the Jamshedpur Branch of Indian Institute
of Materials Management. Very many of the old guards of Tata Steel's Materials fraternity,
now settled elsewhere in the country, specially came to attend the award ceremony. The
function was well attended by Sr.Executives from Tata Steel,Tis Group of
Companies,Sr.Citizens and others.
