contributions made to the metallurgical profession and industry; his dynamic leadership as
the Managing Director of Asia's first and India's largest privately owned
integrated steel plant Tata Iron and Steel Company Ltd; his clear vision and
ingenuity, combined with sagacious planning and concerted efforts in shaping
one of the most modern and cost- efficient steel making facilities in the world and being
a conscientious corporate citizen committed to social welfare and the
environment-AIMA recognizes
Dr Jamshed J Irani's undisputed role in transforming the future of Steel, as it enters the
"Steelennium" and being a leader and manager par excellence.
Dr. Irani will receive this award from Shri Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, Chief Minister of
West Bengal, on September 12, at a special ceremony at 5.30 p.m Hotel Oberoi Grand,
Kolkata.
Dr. Irani joins a select group of distinguished professionals who are being recognized
this year for their outstanding achievements.
