QS 9000 Certification to Tata Steel's Ring Plant |
|
Tata Steel’s Ring Plant was given QS 9000 Certification at a function held in
Jamshedpur today. Rings Division is the first business unit of Tata Steel based in
Jamshedpur to be given this Certification. Tata Steel’s Bearings Division and Ring
Rolling Plant have also been given this Certificate in the recent past. The QS 9000
Certification is a major step towards augmentation of Quality System in meeting customer
satisfaction. This certification will lead to meeting customer requirement in the
automotive sector. It will also give impetus to export promotion. Mr. S.S. Tangri of IRQS
and Dr. Jamshed J. Irani, MD, Tata Steel alongwith Mr. S.K. Benjamin, President, Tata
Workers’ Union were also present on the occasion. Back |
