Jamshedpur, July 05, 2004Tata Steel, being represented by Mr Sidharth Mishra and Mr
Anil Chauhan made the winning team of the regional round of Tata Crucible The
Business Quiz, which took place at the FICCI auditorium New Delhi, recently. This
quiz is the first one of its kind by a business house, which was launched at Jamshedpur
few days back. The quiz was conducted by the Tata Group as a part of commemoration of the
Century of Trust. The Quiz Master Giri Balasubramaniam, aka
PickBrain hosted the quiz.
The other regional rounds of this quiz will be conducted in major metros across India i.e
Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Bangalore, in two tracks- first
exclusively for the employees of the Tata Group, and the second, for other organisations
for an entry fee. The Tata Group reiterating its commitment and the vision of J N Tata of
serving the society will donate the amount collected as entry fee to the cause of SAVE the
Children India. The quiz will cover a wide range of subjects from business houses to
brands, business history, people to products, from business fundas to fundamentals, from
creators of wealth to architects of scams, from Wall Street to Dalal Street and Manhattan
to Chandni Chowk. It is all about the world of business!
In this regional round of Tata Crucible, eighty teams from various Tata Group
of Companies stationed at Delhi had participated. Out of the above teams, six teams, which
qualified, includes, three teams from Tata Consultancy Services, one team each from Tata
Steel, Titan and VSNL. Tata Steel, who won this round were given a cheque. They would now
represent Delhi at Mumbai in the national finals on August 1, 2004.
In all the regional rounds the winning teams will receive a cash prize and the first
runner-ups also would receive a cash prize with many prizes being sponsored by Titan,
Westside, Indian Airlines and Barista to both the participants and the audience. The
winning team from each regional round will qualify for the national final to be held at
Mumbai in August 2004. The national final prizewinners stand to win cash with many other
lucrative prizes.
