Dr.Amit Chaterjee, Chief Technical Officer,Tata Steel, has been conferred the prestigious IIM    Platinum Medal for his outstanding Lifetime contribution to the Metallurgical Profession.

Mr.H.M.Nerurkar, Executive-in-Charge (Flat Products), Tata Steel, has been awarded the SMS  DEMAG Excellence Award (Gold   Medal) for his outstanding leadership contribution, innovative solutions in improvement or modification of equipment design, process technology/promotion in Iron & Steel and Non-Ferrous Industry in India.

Steel Eighties Award to Mr.H.S.Sandhu, Executive-in-Charge(Growth Shop),Tata Steel, for his meritorious contribution for advacement of Technology.

The Awards will be presented to the Executives at the inaugural function of the   56th Annual Technical Meeting of the Institute scheduled to be held on14th November 2002 at Vadodara.
