Tata Steel Jamshedpur Run-a-thon 2017 physical registrations open from October 10, 2017

Tata Steel Jamshedpur Run-a-thon 2017 physical registrations open from October 10, 2017. This follows the highly popular response to online registrations, which was made available almost three weeks ago.

Participants can now register in the following manner:

  1. Pick-up registration form at Accounts Section, JRD Tata Sports Complex (0657 6644815 , 0657 2431141) and register on-the-spot
  2. Log onto http://www.tatasteeljsr-run.com

The last date to register for the 4th edition of Jamshedpur Run-a-thon is October 30, 2017. For the benefit of the interested participants, registration counters will be available at Accounts Section, JRD Tata Sports Complex from October 10-30, 2017 from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

The annual event Tata Steel Jamshedpur Run-a-thon is set to be organised on November 5, 2017. The 10-km run will kick-off from the JRD Tata Sports Complex with the first race scheduled at 0615 hours. This event is open all (Indian Nationals only). 10 km is the internationally-approved distance for road races by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).

There will be different events for various categories of runners. The 10 -km run is open to all (Indian Nationals only) and will have a registration fee of INR 500/-. Apart from this, there will be a 7-km run (registration fee INR 300/-) and a 5-km run for under-16 boys and girls (registration charge INR 100/-). The reporting time for all races is 0600 hrs on November 5, 2017 at JRD Tata Sports Complex.

Sports and physical fitness are ingrained in the philosophy of Tata Steel. The Sports Department consistently organises sporting and running events to provide a healthy work-life balance for Tata Steel employees and believes in promoting fitness among stakeholders in the larger community.
