To prevent the occurrence of ‘Dengue’ in Kalinganagar and its nearby areas, Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS), the CSR arm of Tata Steel, has intensified the fogging operations in villages located in and around Kalinganagar.

While fogging has been undertaken in villages adjacent to Tata Steel plant in Kalinganagar like Dholpathar and Baragadia, it is being expanded to other nearby villages. Fogging operations are being carried out during the evening to make it effective. To boost awareness on precautions against dengue, Tata Steel has put out communication messages through hoarding boards on Dengue awareness in prominent locations like Duburi, Danagadi, Jajpur Road, Panikoili and Chadeidhara. Apart from display of banners on Dengue awareness in the plant site and periphery villages, the Company is also distributing leaflets illustrating ‘Preventive Measures’ in Odia and Hindi among local people and employees.
