Tata Steel Noamundi Hospital awarded for being the “Best Patient Centric Hospital in Jharkhand”

New Delhi, October 22, 2016

Tata Steel Noamundi Hospital has been conferred with the Prime Time Global Healthcare Excellence Awards 2016 under the category of “Best Patient Centric Hospital in Jharkhand”.

The award was received by Dr Dhirendra Kumar, Chief Medical Officer, Noamundi Hospital, Tata Steel from Mr. Amar Singh, Member of Rajya Sabha & Senior Samajwadi Party Leader and Mr. Sandeep Madhusudhan Patil, former Indian Cricketer , today at an award ceremony in New Delhi.

Expressing happiness on receiving the award, Mr Pankaj Satija, General Manager (Ore, Mines & Quarries), Tata Steel said: “It is a proud moment for us to receive this award. Healthcare for the community is one of the thrust areas for our company's social involvements. This honor will significantly propel us to set higher benchmarks and live up to our commitment to society”. 

The Noamundi Hospital has been providing medical facilities to people living in and around the mining areas at Noamundi since 1925.The hospital is equipped with modern medical facilities like a medical mobile van, ambulances and serves an almost 25km area with specialist doctors. Tata Steel continues to stand out for its initiatives pertaining to healthcare with its large-scale hospitals and clinics spanning across Jamshedpur, Jharkhand and Odisha.
