Tata Steel commences Tata Ferroshots rake despatch
Tata Ferroshots, Granulated Pig Iron, is a new product that was launched by Tata Steel, from its new Steel Plant at Kalinganagar in the month of March 2016.
Within a few months of its launch, this innovative product has caught the imagination of the Steel industry which has traditionally used Pig Iron, Sponge iron and Scrap. It has received overwhelming acceptance in both the Domestic & Exports markets.
Tata Steel has now commenced Rakes despatches of Ferroshots, as a result of which the material will be available Pan India. The first Rake was flagged off on September 12, 2016.
Tata Ferroshots is Granulated Pig Iron solidified by cooling in water. The end use of Tata Ferroshots is in electric arc furnaces, induction furnaces, cupolas, basic oxygen furnaces and foundries as a replacement of pig iron, scrap or DRI. Its inherent properties lead to better yield, higher productivity and lower energy cost. The process of manufacturing is environment friendly and safe.
