Tata Steel bagged several awards during National Metallurgists Day Celebration at IIT Kanpur
Tata Steel received the first Prize for IIM National Sustainability Award for its recognition of Quality Control aspects in the Steel Sector.
Dr. Tridibesh Mukherjee, Former Deputy Managing Director, Tata Steel was awarded the 2016 “Lifetime Achievement” award in recognition of his pioneering and phenomenal contributions to the growth of Steel Industries.
Mr. B.K. Das, Vice President, Iron Making, Tata Steel, was conferred the Fellowship in recognition of his service to the Institute and to the Metallurgy Profession.
The Tata Gold Medal for the year 2016 was awarded to Mr. Sudhansu Pathak, Vice President, Steel Manufacturing, Tata Steel in recognition of his significant contribution to the metallurgical industries.
Ms Anindita Chakraborty, Principal Researcher, Tata Steel was awarded ‘Young Metallurgist of the Year’ award. She has showcased her talent and expertise in surface engineering research and significantly contributed in the process improvement of continuous and batch galvanizing.
