Cashless Medical Insurance Services at TMH

Tata Main Hospital caters to a large section of patients from Jamshedpur & adjoining areas, which includes both its employees and the community at large. It continues its endeavor to provide the best & advanced treatment to all its patients’.

Based on the current need and request from the community, TMH has moved forward another step and this is to provide “Cashless Medical Insurance Services” to the citizens of Jamshedpur and around.

TMH has entered into a tie up with TPAs (Third party administrators for Insurance agencies) & Insurance companies for providing insurance facility to patients admitted to TMH. It will now be an empanelled hospital for insurance. Patients coming for treatment at TMH having a medical insurance with TPAs or Insurance companies, can avail Cashless Medical Insurance facility, like any other empanelled hospital in the country. This facility would be applicable for Indoor treatment services only.To start with, the tie up is initially with 3 TPAs namely Medicare , Mediassist & Family Health Plan Limited ( who are linked to another 20-25 Insurance companies ) & Star Insurance Services. Overtime the tie up would extend to other TPAs & Insurance companies.

A special “Insurance desk” has been set up in the TMH OPD, where personnel will be available from 9 am – 6 pm, Monday to Saturday. Patients who are medical insurance holders of the above TPAs or Insurance companies and want to avail indoor medical facility in TMH, can go to the Insurance desk for needful, as per their policy cover.“Cashless Medical Insurance Facility” at TMH will be starting in the First week of October 2016.
