~Tata Steel Surpassed the 6,00,000 t monthly Finished Steel Production mark for the first time in January 2010~
Tata Steel completed the month of January with an increase in its hot metal, crude steel and saleable steel production over the corresponding month of last year. The key figures are appended below:

- LD#1 (one of the Steel Melting Shop) recorded its best ever production of 2, 75, 378 t.
- Hot Strip Mill recorded its best ever production of 3, 39, 631 t.
- Merchant Mill recorded its best ever production of 32,427 t.
- 8% increase in Flat products sales over January’09.
- 10% increase in Long products sales over January’09.
