In its quest for enhancing transparency in its business and opening new channels of communication with its stakeholders Tata Steel launched its website – www.tatasteelindia.com, as early as July 4 1998.

The website was launched as a window to the company and has now grown to become a full- fledged Steel Portal. The reputation of the site was established with the conferring of the IISI People's Choice Award by International Iron & Steel Institute (IISI) at its summit in Rome in 2002 and several awards by the Association of Business Communicators of India, over the years.

Based on our online feedback system, and in-depth interactions with users of the website both within the company and from the financial community, Tata Steel has launched an Investor-Relations sub-site at
http://www.tatasteel.com/investors/index.asp. It shall address and reorganize the investor's related information and their expectations in a new investor specific section.
