Tata Steel Wins Top Teri Award

Tata Steel has been awarded the coveted The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI) award for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) 2002-03 in recognition of corporate leadership for good corporate citizenship and sustainable initiatives. The award was received by Shri Arun Narayan Singh, Deputy Managing Director (Corporate Services), Tata Steel, from Dr Vijay Kelkar, Advisor to the Union Finance Minister in New Delhi today. Dr Jamshed J Irani, Director, Tata Sons, also graced the occasion.

Corporate Social Responsibility has grown beyond the literal meaning of the word was proved today when some of the leading corporate walked away with the prestigious TERI CSR awards given away today.

A well-attended CEO Forum that took stock of the issues related to Corporate Social Responsibility preceded the TERI-CSR awards function. TERI CEO forum & TERI-CSR awards were organized by TERI as part of the Delhi sustainable Development Summit 2004.
