Tata Steel to renovate Keonjhar district hospital

Tata Steel is committed towards improving the quality of life of communities it serves, which is also envisaged under Vision-2007 of Tata Steel. In this endeavour one more achievement was recorded today when Mr.D G Tripathy, Collector & District Magistrate, Keonjhar launched the renovation of District Headquarters Hospital at Keonjhar. Mr M C Das, Sub-Collector, Keonjhar, Mr.K C Baisakh, Additional District Medical Officer and other dignitaries also graced the function held at the hospital premises. The function was presided over by Mr PC Sahoo, Chief (Joda), Tata Steel.

On request from state and district administration, Tata Steel responded by in renovating the above hospital and the job is expected to be completed by the end of the current fiscal. Under the renovation scheme, the Surgery Ward (Male), Surgery Ward (Female) and Medicine Ward will be given extensive facelift. These wards will have marble flooring, fitted with glazed tiles upto a height of 1.5 MT, colour washing of the wards, new sanitary fittings, repair of damaged lavatory with marble flooring and glazed tiles fitting on the walls, construction of new sewage tank and soak pits (the existing tank and pits are totally damaged). In addition to the above, the verandah and side room of the male & female wards will also be repaired and renovated.
